Christmas Wreath

Feeling festive, we decided to make a wreath for our door. We bundled up and ventured out into the woods surrounding our home. We collected fir branches along with some small cones and some high-bush cranberries. It must have been rather cold because I developed a rather sizable snotsicle (see image below for snotsicle illustration).

After detaching it from my nose, Liz and I set to work assembling the wreath. We started with some scrap wire as the frame, and used thinner wire to attach the branches, cones, and cranberries.

We used most of the greenery that we had gathered and are rather pleased with the result.

The green wreath contrasts nicely with our red door, don't you think?
