Recently we participated in Girdwood's annual cookie exchange. We brought 4 dozen homemade cookies to a long table in the Aurora Lounge of Alyeska Resort. About 15 other people did the same. Then we went around the table and talked about our cookies (ingredients and baking processes). Just before they got to our cookies, Liz got a call that she had to take. So, I was left to describe the cookies that she made. Did I mention that I was the only man at the event? I began listing ingredients in the cookies: Salmon, Elk... etc. Once the laughter died down, I was able to muddle through most of the real ingredients in the cookies, thanks to some diligent taste testing prior to the event. After cookie show and tell came the fun part, where we walked around the table picking out cookies until there were none left. Great fun. Great way to gather a tray of 20+ varieties of cookies.
Brent, I forgot to tell you that I thought you were a real trooper for sticking around even though you were the only man! Way to go!
