The pizzas are made on a thin spelt crust and have a wide assortment of quality ingredients, usually organic, and often from their garden or from local rivers (salmon). Toppings include olives, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, spinach, various cheeses, basil, salmon sausage, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, and lots of other good things we can't remember right now. The final product is a thing of beauty, but I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that they look too good to eat. Those would be fighting words. Most of the time, each successive pizza gets dubbed "Brent's favorite."
As you can see, it is almost impossible to eat this pizza without a smile on your face. The gastronomic experience especially when accompanied by some good friends tends to foster lots of laughter, and talk of events in Girdwood, Alaska, and the rest of the world. Friday night gourmet pizzafests are a real treat.

Seeing Denise in that terrific kitchen and remembering her fantastic pizza brings back warm memories of that night she and John had us over.
ReplyDeleteHer pizzas are definitely world class. Their warmth & hospitality are inspiring. You are so fortunate to have them as friends. I'll never forget her story of the "stalking moose".
