The building we meet in was built in the 1960's and is rather cozy (31 feet x 31 feet)! There is no bathroom or plumbing so a port-a-potty is available outside. In 2003 the building was placed on the back of a flatbed trailer and moved to its present location.

Here is a picture of the church being moved in 2003: http://chapelnews.squarespace.com/church-move-may-27-2003/
The church is in the middle of a building project and plans to dedicate the new building in October. To see the new building click on this link: http://chapelnews.squarespace.com/new-building/architectural-design-images/
In addition to Girdwood Chapel, the town of Girdwood also has what we call the Catholic-Mormon Church. No, it's not a new hybrid denomination, it has to do with sharing a common building space, The Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows. It is an ecumenical interfaith facility where other faiths utilize the building for services, weddings and other events.
