We have wanted to build a quinzee (snow cave) for several years, but didn't have the two ingredients necessary to build one: snow (lots of it) and time. Over the past few days we have had a lot of snow and have taken a couple hours to build our very own quinzee. It is a work in progress. It is about 10 feet tall and 15 feet wide. The interior is about 3 feet high, 6 feet wide, and 8 feet long.
Digging out the interior of the quinzee is tiring, wet work. We were both surprised at how warm and quiet it is inside the quinzee.
Amazing! You are looking pretty comfy-cozy in there. Just wondering....flat or domed ceiling?
