Family Friends Become Our Friends

A year ago when Brent was doing census work in Delta Junction, Liz's dad encouraged him to connect with friends of his who had recently moved from Oregon to the Delta Junction area. At that time, Brent was only able to get away from his census duties long enough to go to church with them and talk for a few minutes afterward. It was a meaningful connection. This year as we were planning our AK road trip, we decided to see if we could reconnect with Dave and Carol Korgan. Here we are on a walk with our friend Dave on their beautiful land on the outskirts of Delta Junction.

This is their backyard. Not a bad view, is it?

Here's Brent, Natasha and I with part of the Korgan clan. Alaska made such an impression on the Korgans that their family (11 of them) moved from the lower 48 to Alaska! Being with this family was a blessing. This family is one of the most genuine, kind, generous, joyful and hospitable families we have encountered in a long time. It is nice to have such great friends to visit when we are in that part of Alaska.
