Silver Fox Roadhouse

At mile 1,404 on the Alaska Highway, there's a place called the Silver Fox Roadhouse. It is one part, gas station, one part convenience store, one part taxidermy museum, and one part I'm not sure what. If you happen to be in area, it is worth a stop. It will only take you a few minutes to see it, and it is uniquely Alaskan.

As is typical of Alaskans, this man's retirement years are still filled with adventure. He and his buddy were refueling their ATV's at the Silver Fox Roadhouse while we were looking around inside.

Here are a few of the taxidermed treasures we saw inside the Roadhouse.

  1. Where is this? This may be where Matt got his moose mounted...I know it was something Fox...but I don't remember the exact name :)
